Elchenburg Castle is a 60-acre property in the rolling foothills on the outskirts of Elkin, North Carolina. The property is owned by Walter Tripplette of Zen Warrior Armory. It is a primitive camping site that boasts a covered picnic shelter, a 100-year old farmhouse that has been retrofitted as a bath house (hot running water and flush toilets), and a 'castle' (slate-covered block walls, no floor or ceiling). War of the Wings currently utilizes about 40 acres of space, including woods battles and the archery pasture. Please do not disturb the cows, and remember to leave the site cleaner than you found it!
